‘Dev’ has been an inspiration to many. By getting the freedom of exploring different mediums at such a young age has got him a broad perspective to what we would call ‘sky is the limit’.

For Dev, every painting he paints is completely different from one another. He likes his paintings to be raw with imperfection in it. He sees imperfection in a painting as a stroke of genius. He comes up with very unusual ideas in his paintings with eclectic color combinations.Canvas, colors, brushes, knives, tools – art is a way of communication for an artist. His paintings and vision offer a perspective of a modern era of the future. He uses different mediums on different surfaces like linen, canvas, and jute with unusual combinations. Experience is a virtue. Looking at his work puts the viewers inside a moment to experience laughter, sadness, guilt, bliss, and confusion.Works on archival paper with markers and charcoal gives a feeling of modernity and a renaissance behind it. The intricacies and detailing of each give the resemblance of different cultures on one hand and a very cubist figure on the other.His works portrays abstraction, expressionism, modernism and cubism.

Currently, he is looking at how to balance between the Persian and Mughal influences in his paintings as well as the cubism which would constitute the idea of ‘Paper Period’.
